What Not Eating For A Week Taught Me About Being Stubborn.
My bucket list continues to be most unusual.
On the 26th of May, I woke up and showered, made breakfast and sat down to have it.
It was a cabbage stir fry and I rushed it so it didn’t exactly taste 5-star, but I Wasn’t being picky that morning.
Once I was done, I did the dishes, cleaned up and started my fasting timer. I changed it from my normal 20 hour fast to the limit the app allowed.
168 hours.
What followed over the course of the week was a fascinating peek into how the mind works and more importantly – what motivates us to keep going.
First of all, some context; I fast everyday. Intermittent fasting is something I picked up five years ago and I have enjoyed both it’s health benefits and impact on my discipline. To that end, every day I do a 20 hour fast and have one meal a day.
This might sound impossible to you if you’re not familiar with IF – I assure you it sounds more dramatic than it really is.
